Visiting Nursing Association Of Western New York Implements Authentidate's Inscrybe Healthcare To Improve Referral Management Processes With Physicians
Berkeley Heights, NJ (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Authentidate Holding Corp. (Nasdaq:ADAT), a worldwide provider of secure health information exchange, workflow management services and telehealth solutions, today announced that the Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York (VNA of WNY), a part of the Kaleida Health System, is implementing the Inscrybe® Healthcare referral management solution to improve its processes for physician communications. VNA of WNY is integrating Inscrybe with its McKesson clinical management system that they use for physician orders (referrals) in their home health practice as well as their Fastrack billing system that they use in their home infusion, home medical equipment (HME), and enteral nutrition business operations.
When Inscrybe is integrated with their clinical management and billing systems, the VNA of WNY can initiate referrals either from their McKesson or their Fastrack system, which triggers Inscrybe to send the referrals to the physician for review and approval while Inscrybe tracks each referral through to completion. Referrals and related documentation are sent electronically for review and secure online signature, or received via fax to be viewed, signed and faxed back into Inscrybe, depending on physician preference. By utilizing Inscrybe, VNA of WNY expects to reinforce business relationships with their referring physicians by providing flexible yet efficient communications while reducing the overall completion time of their referrals. With the increased national emphasis on electronic health records as a replacement for paper, physicians are becoming more interested than ever in secure, online communications with their suppliers.
Judy Baumgartner, President of the Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York, stated, "We were drawn to Inscrybe by its proven ability to automate the very complex referral and medical orders workflow. Inscrybe will allow physicians who order our home care services to access all of their referrals at a single site, eliminating the enormous paper process they are burdened with today. Inscrybe will allow VNA of WNY to improve our efficiency and accuracy while reducing paper management and related overhead costs."
Marcus Wagstaff, National Sales Director for Authentidate, said, "Inscrybe will standardize and unify the referral management processes of this well-established, leading home care organization. We look forward to helping the VNA of WNY achieve their strategic objectives with our innovative solution."
