The Discovery Stair Lift is a chair-style lift designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and economical means of access along a straight-run stairway. It is designed for persons who experience physical difficulty climbing or descending a flight of stairs. The lift is powered by a DC motor direct drive rack and pinion system featuring soft starts and stops. The passenger sits sideways, giving them the feeling of being able to see both up and down the staircase. The wide seat, fold-down chair arms, footrest, and seatbelt add to passenger safety. When not in use, the lift folds up against the wall protruding only 14-in, leaving the stairway clear for unobstructed use by others.
