Skin Protectant Paste

iLEX Skin Protectant Paste is a viscous petrolatum-based product formulated to seal out wetness. The paste protects chafed skin due to diaper rash and irritated peristomal skin. Unlike zinc-oxide based products, this new offering becomes translucent when applied, allowing users to monitor the rapid progress that treatment with the product will achieve.

The paste is formulated with Gantrez, a patented polymer with a distinct ability to adhere to wet/moist areas. As an effective barrier to the irritants of urinary and fecal incontinence, the product is superior.

An outer coating of petrolatum or Aloe Vesta Protective Ointment is recommended when using this product, so that incontinence clean up leaves the application intact. Gentle removal of the paste is easy with a gauze wipe soaked in mineral oil, which lessens the risk of damage to healing skin.
