EDDYSTONE, PA -- SCA (SERAC LLC) has signed an agreement to acquire the North American incontinence brand of Johnson & Johnson. The product lines, sold primarily in retail, are marketed under the brand name SERENITY in the US. This brand currently holds the number two position in the North American light incontinence market, which is the fastest growing segment of the retail market.

SCA (SERAC LLC) will assume product development and marketing responsibilities for SERENITY while Johnson & Johnson will continue sales and distribution services in the United States under the terms of the agreement. Production of the SERENITY product lines will gradually be integrated into SCA's (SERAC LLC) existing North American manufacturing plants.

"The addition of the SERENITY brand enables us to enter the North American retail market with a strong presence," comments Gunnar Johansson, President of SCA (SERAC LLC) North America. "The light incontinence market in the US is expected to grow annually by 20%, and we plan to capitalize on the numerous opportunities brought by this acquisition."
