Sandata Technologies, Inc. And Personal-Touch Home Care Of N.Y., Inc. Join Forces To Provide Visit Management Solution

Port Washington, NY - Sandata Technologies, Inc., a leading IT services provider to the home health care and social services community, and Personal-Touch Home Care of N.Y., Inc., recently announced that they will join forces through an agreement to collaborate in providing visit management solutions for Personal-Touch companies going forward. By automating the processes of monitoring in-home patient care, the solution will generate greater efficiencies for providers and payers while helping to prevent fraud.

The collaboration between the two companies will use Sandata's patented technology and robust call capture infrastructure to interface caregivers' patient data and appointment status with Personal-Touch's internal system. Field workers call into the system by using a unique toll-free telephone number when they arrive and again when they depart their scheduled location. Sandata's patented technology captures the location of the caregiver and Personal-Touch's technology validates and authorizes caregiver time and activities. In combination, these technologies verify that the right worker is at the right place, at the right time, performing the right combination of services.

Bert E. Brodsky, chairman & chief executive officer of Sandata, commented, "We look forward to integrating Sandata's patented technology with Personal-Touch's proprietary software system to help improve the efficiency and budgeting needs of the home care industry and payer communities. The advantages of reducing fraud and abuse while improving productivity in the home care industry are obvious, and we are pleased with this collaboration, which is the result of an amicable settlement of patent litigation between our two companies."

Dr. Felix Glaubach, president of Personal-Touch said "We look forward to working with Sandata in our continuous efforts to provide our customers with the best possible care available."

Stephen A. Silverstein, president of Sandata, commented, "We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Personal-Touch to serve their clients with our patented telephony system for monitoring caregivers' time and attendance and to manage home care operations. The synergies between our two companies will go a long way in securing new business and solving the important issues facing the home care industry."
