Murrysville, PA - Respironics, Inc. announces the release of the ComfortCurve™ Nasal Interface System. As the newest addition to the Comfort Series, the ComfortCurve represents a breakthrough for patients seeking alternatives to traditional nasal masks. It is the first nasal interface system to provide a less invasive, more complete and lifestyle-oriented form of airway delivery.

Unlike pillows or prongs-based products, the ComfortCurve Nasal Interface System provides a less invasive and more comfortable seal. It features an innovative cushion that gently cradles the nose and delivers a dispersed flow of airway pressure. The cushion is supported by two ergonomic and adjustable cheek pads that further eliminate unnecessary nostril irritation, pressure or pulling commonly caused by pillows or prongs-based products.

The ComfortCurve comes complete with 3 cushion sizes (S, M, L), headgear, and an exclusive tubing system. The tubing system offers a lightweight and flexible connection to the Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) device that is less likely to pull on the interface or disrupt the seal. The ComfortCurve is approved for all Respironics sleep therapy devices including REMstar® Systems with C-Flex, BiPAP® Pro Systems with Bi-Flex® and REMstar Auto-CPAP Systems.

The ComfortCurve enhances patient lifestyle through a less medical-looking, innovative and compact design that allows for unlimited patient visibility. It is packaged in an attractive pouch for convenient travel. And to further improve the patient experience, the ComfortCurve is offered in 5 color options (sold separately) to allow patients to customize the interface for a fun, personalized expression.

"The ComfortCurve Nasal Interface System is truly a breakthrough alternative to a traditional nasal mask. By introducing a less invasive, more complete and lifestyle-oriented form of airway delivery, we are improving the patient experience while reducing call-backs and complaints. Our all-in-one system simplifies the ordering process, shortens fitting time, reduces accessory costs, and promotes ongoing patient care and supply replenishment," noted Justin Crout, Product Manager, Patient Interface.
