The Pinnacle is a permanently mounted electric ceiling lift designed to provide the healthcare worker with the best possible tool for moving patients. All required patient transfer functions; raise, lower and lateral movements are automated and can be achieved with the simple press of a button. Patient transfers become virtually effortless and the opportunity for injury to the caregiver and/or the patient is practically non-existent. Installation of ceiling lifts into institutional facilities have lowered injury rates by up to 100% in many cases.
Power Raise, Lower and Traverse
The included four-function hand controller allows for all patient movements to be accomplished by the push of a button. The automated functions allow the caregiver to perform patient transfers in a zero-lift environment which drastically lowers the potential for injury to both caregiver and patient. Subsequent costs such as workers compensation, insurance premiums, lost time and staff retraining are also significantly reduced.
400 lb Lifting Capacity
Heavy-duty motor systems coupled with high capacity batteries allows patients up to 400 lbs to be moved effortlessly. The Pinnacle can perform all types of transfers including bed, chair, tub and floor lifts. The Pinnacle can also be used in rehabilitation applications; when used in conjunction with the walking sling, gait training can be performed. The Pinnacle can also be used for transfers to and from pools and hydrotherapy devices.
24 Volt DC Operation
The Pinnacle is battery powered when in operating mode ensuring that potentially harmful 110 V AC power is kept away from your patient. This is especially important in wet or damp environments such as tub rooms and pool areas. A built-in safety circuit disables the lift when it is in the charging position. The heavy-duty 24 V DC battery system allows for up to 150 lifts on a single charge.
In-Track Smart Charging System
An end of track docking station provides the power to charge the lift. The included 110/24 V smart charger regulates the charging sequence and prevents the batteries from becoming overcharged regardless of how long the lift is left charging. A bi-color LED indicator on the charger provides the user with information on when the lift is charging and also when the batteries have reached a full charge.
On-board Visual Battery Indicator
An integrated visual battery indicator provides the user with a continuous readout of the battery status. The Pinnacle can perform up to 150 lifts on a single charge. The built-in heavy-duty get-cell batteries are designed for high-use applications and will not develop a "memory".
Emergency Lowering Function
The standard emergency lowering switch provides for patient lowering capabilities in the event of a hand controller or control board malfunction. This feature ensures that your patient is not left stranded in the middle of a transfer. A simple pull on the emergency lowering control will lower the patient safely and smoothly to a chair or bed.
Emergency Stop Function
The emergency stop switch completely shuts down power to both the raise/lower motor and the traverse motor in the event of an emergency. Power can be easily restored by re-activation the switch.
4-Point Attach Spreader Bar
The Pinnacle Electric Ceiling Lift employs the same signature 4-point spreader bar system found on our other sling lifts. The 4-point attach system provides superior comfort for patient and easier handling for the healthcare worker as compared to the traditional 2-point attach systems found on most of our competitors products.
Various Sling Options
T.H.E. Medical manufactures a wide range of standard and custom slings ensuring that any patient can be moved safely and comfortably. All slings are interchangeable between the different T.H.E. Medical products allowing facilities to install the right equipment in the right areas without being concerned about sling incompatibility which can become an issue when a wide variety of different lift brands are employed.
Protrack Rail System
The Pinnacle takes advantage of T.H.E. Medical's Protrack rail system. Protrack is an extruded aluminum track with a custom profile that permits easy, quick installation and a loading capacity of 1000 lbs. The Protrack system employs easy-to-use mounting brackets rather than the cumbersome through track mounting configuration found on many other tracks. For additional track specifications and installation instructions, please see our Protrack Specifications page.
Custom Installation Components
In many circumstances, custom installations require more than just the standard track and mounting bracket. A complete line of custom components are available including drop-down kits, adjustable threaded rod assemblies and stabilizing kits that enable the Pinnacle to be installed and used in virtually any area.
Digital Weigh Scale Option
Adding the digital weigh scale option to the Pinnacle allows for patient weights to be taken as part of the transfer process and eliminates the need for extra transfers to chair scales or wheelchair scales. Accurate to within 1/10 th of a lb., the digital weigh scale features an LCD readout, auto-zeroing and the capability of displaying both lbs. and kgs. The separate 9 V lithium power cell provides for up to 20,000 readings between changes.
Additional Features
Anti-Drop Safety Mechanism
An internal anti-drop safety system, activated by centrifugal force in the event of a malfunction, is standard on every Pinnacle system. All lifts are thoroughly inspected and tested prior to shipment to ensure safe and trouble-free operation.
Zero Floor Space
In most facilities, every square inch counts. The Pinnacle requires absolutely zero floor space as opposed to mobile floor lifts which occupy valuable areas that could be better used for other purposes
