The O2N Demand II Oxygen Conserver system is a completely pneumatic device
The O2N Demand II Oxygen Conserver system is a completely pneumatic device. It does not require batteries or electronics, which means that patients do not have to worry about energy levels or power supply. In addition, the unit operates in a variety of conditions without the fear of failure. The pneumatic operating system allows the patient to receive oxygen on each inspiration portion of the breathing cycle, rather than during exhalation.
Two modes of operation are available: continuous and conserve. During use in the conservation mode, the oxygen dose is equivalent to continuous flow delivery and delivers the amount of oxygen prescribed by the physician; however, this mode does not release oxygen during exhalation.
Other features of the unit include:
- Weighs only 22 ounces
- Attaches to either CGA 870 or CGA 540 valved cylinders
- EZ-Key allows for simple cylinder attachment
- Choice of cannulas (Victor or Salter)
- Various carrying cases and bags are available
