INTEGRIS Health Selects Allscripts Care Management For Its 13 Hospitals
Chicago, IL - Allscripts announced recently that INTEGRIS Health will extend their deployment of Allscripts Care Management from two hospitals to all 13 of their Oklahoma facilities, helping to streamline patient movement through the hospital, improve reimbursement, and enhance continuity of care across the INTEGRIS network.
INTEGRIS Health is Oklahoma's largest locally-owned health care corporation and one of the state's largest private employers with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physician clinics, mental health facilities, fitness centers, and home health agencies throughout much of the state. In 2006, INTEGRIS implemented Allscripts Care Management in its two largest hospitals, INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center and INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center, both in the Oklahoma City area. Two years earlier, INTEGRIS Physician Services implemented Allscripts Enterprise Electronic Health Record for their 74 physicians.

Allscripts Discharge Planning and Utilization Management are key elements of the company's Care Management solution, which is used by more than 700 hospitals nationwide. Allscripts Care Management is a Web-based "software as a service" (SaaS) solution that can be deployed quickly and efficiently with minimal IT support. It automates and streamlines the entire care management process in hospitals, from admission through discharge. The result: increased productivity, improved patient throughput, lower claims denials and better health outcomes.

INTEGRIS Samaritan Home Care Services, one of INTEGRIS's largest home care agencies, uses Allscripts Homecare (formerly Misys Homecare®) to improve clinical quality of care, financial performance, and operational control in its facilities.

The Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program of the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) was created to identify and correct overpayments to healthcare providers. The RAC audits will become a permanent fixture in all 50 states on Jan. 1, 2010. Allscripts Care Management provides real-time alerts, retrospective reports, analytics and other tools that help hospitals identify current or past patient encounters at risk for a RAC audit, track them through the audit and appeals process, and prevent unnecessary dollar losses.

Allscripts Utilization Management streamlines the utilization management process by electronically capturing critical patient data and guiding case managers in securing authorization and payment of care from insurers. The solution also creates an effective denial management program to track claim denials and improve an organization's success rate with appeals.
Allscripts Discharge Planning automates the process of referring discharged patients to post-acute facilities, eliminating the time-consuming and costly process of case managers manually phoning and faxing to secure post-acute care services, one provider at a time. Case managers send a detailed electronic referral to selected locations across the Allscripts network of 90,000 post-acute providers, and interested facilities reply, often within minutes.
