The site provides customers 24-hour access to service and convenient ordering options for its specialty home healthcare products and services division.
"Previously, customers could access H. D. Smith home healthcare services through ordering software, a phone call to customer service or through direct contact with sales consultants," explained Avi Weiss, director, home healthcare, H. D. Smith. "Now, customers have the advantage of a user-friendly website available 24 hours a day, where they can place orders, access Medicare information, and save favorite products for future ordering in addition to their previous options." The HomeCare Connection website is a portal into H. D. Smith's specialized home healthcare division, which is staffed at each distribution facility by experienced members of the dedicated home healthcare sales team. The website features easy-to-navigate product listings by category or product number, and a reference section to guide customers through Medicare information and HCPCS codes. To make the shopping experience as user-friendly as possible, a shopping cart and "favorites" section allow customers to save items to their account for future ordering.
