HealthNet To Deploy Emageon's Medical Image Management Solution

Birmingham, AL-based Emageon Inc., a leading technology solutions provider, catering to the needs of hospitals and healthcare networks, has entered into an agreement with HealthNet L.L.C. for the installation of Emageon's RadSuite™ at two of its facilities, the Glendive Medical Center and Sidney Health Center.

Based in Williston, North Dakota, HealthNet is a joint venture between 4 hospitals in Western ND and Eastern Montana, including Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, Glendive Medical Center and Sidney Health Center. The organization provides information technology solutions and support for best practices, through education and training, expansion of IT services, and development of process improvements for its healthcare partners, while promoting regulatory compliance and consistent practices among them.

HealthNet runs a Data Center with remote access capabilities, which hosts Meditech Information System for its members, and is managed by the HealthNet group. Through the current deal with Emageon, HealthNet will facilitate the installation of RadSuite™ at Glendive Medical Center and Sidney Health Center. The agreement includes the installation of enterprise PACS, workflow management and advanced visualization software at the locations. Emageon will also provide software services for other specialties at the hospitals.

Emageon's RadSuite, built on a unified Enterprise Content Management system, offers features like advanced visualization and infrastructure tools with dynamic user interface, integrated 2D/3D tools, enterprise reading list, technologist QC workflow, web administration tools, and personal content management capabilities. The suite provides end-to-end analysis and management capabilities for medical images, reports and related clinical content, while ensuring seamless workflow at the enterprise level.

Emageon's multi-specialty product portfolio also includes HeartSuite™ (cardiovascular), MammoSuite™ (breast imaging) and OrthoSuite™ (orthopaedics). Emageon has bagged the 2007 Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award and its cardiology PACS has been named "Best in KLAS" for 2007. The company reported first quarter revenues, ended March 31, 2008, of $19.3 million.
