Company Initiative Targets Postacute Care Settings

Healthcare company Datex-Ohmeda (Tewksbury, MA) has announced an initiative to bring products and service to providers and patients in home care, as well as subacute and long-term care settings.

The company's Continuing Care initiative, according to a release, will initially provide products and services in respiratory care and jaundice management, including pulse oximetry and bilirubin monitoring. Besides products, the initiative includes an 800 number staffed by a technician and a program that supplies loaned equipment within 24 hours, the company said.

The initiative is a combined effort of Datex-Ohmeda, the core business of Finland-based Instrumentarium Corp.and Ohmeda Medical, an independent division of Instrumentarium.
