“The hospice environment is unique,” explains Jan Beckman, Accounting and Benefits Manager at Columbus Hospice. “Our mindset is far different fromwhat you’d probably find in a typical for-profit organization. The focus isn’t on discovering new ways to save money and developing a bigger bottomline. It is about providing great patient care and consistently finding new ways to serve our patients – and their families – better.”
One area the hospice designated for improvement is the way it collects, calculates, and utilizes employee time and attendance data. It wanted a solution that would streamline administrative tasks, offer reporting flexibility, and easily interface with the hospice’s in-house payroll system.
