CareCentrix Adds Blue Shield Operating Executive To Support Business Growth

Home Health Benefits Management Company Appoints Bob Novelli to Chief Operating Officer

Hartford, CN /PRNewswire/ - CareCentrix, the nation's leading provider of home health benefits management services, announced today that it has expanded its senior management team with the addition of Bob Novelli. The company has appointed Novelli to chief operating officer. A health insurance veteran, Novelli has held executive positions with leading health care plans including Aetna, Blue Shield of California and PacifiCare.

Novelli will spearhead CareCentrix's operations and systems to support its expanding services and growing base of customers. In his most recent position as executive vice president of Blue Shield, he played an instrumental role in improving the plan's broker and customer satisfaction. Previously, Novelli was a national service head for Aetna, where he expanded the company's service programs for small business and retiree customers. He also served as vice president of PacifiCare, where he was responsible for operations, systems and customer service.

"Bob is an accomplished executive with a proven track record of scaling highly efficient operations that have significantly enhanced customer service at leading health insurers," said Eric Reimer, chief executive officer, CareCentrix. "As we expand our services to support payers by improving patient outcomes and reducing unnecessary hospital readmissions, Bob is the ideal leader to strategically advance our operations. He possesses a strong combination of operational expertise and a unique perspective of what will be most important to payers."

CareCentrix has achieved material growth since it partnered with Water Street Healthcare Partners, a leading private equity firm focused exclusively on health care, in 2008 to become a standalone company specializing in home health care. It has secured several new contracts that when fully implemented will increase the company's revenue from $315 million to approximately $500 million.

"I am pleased to join this accomplished management team in improving the efficiency and affordability of health care delivery," said Novelli. "Home health care will play a central role in helping to solve the country's current health care crisis. CareCentrix has a tremendous opportunity to leverage its core services to help payers achieve their goals of reducing health care costs and improving patient outcomes."

Novelli is the most recent executive to join CareCentrix's management team. Earlier this year, the company recruited several industry veterans to its team including Dr. William Kerr, Chief Medical Officer; Robert LaGalia, Chief Growth Officer; and Alison Gilligan, Chief Counsel.
