BIG BOUNDER drive trains can be configured for a wide range of top speeds. For users between 300 and 400 lbs, top speed is usually configured between 6.5 and 8 MPH. For users between 400 and 500 lbs, top speed is usually configured between 6 and 7 MPH. Control is fully proportional. Drive train ratios and program parameters can be adjusted in the field for slower top speeds.
The BIG BOUNDER with Power 700 Option is available for users between 500 and 700 lbs, or for lighter users who want a more rugged chair. For conventional style frames this option includes 9" x 2.75" or 9"x3.50" metal caster wheels and suspension forks, reinforced front rigging and thicker tubing. For H-frames it includes reinforced front rigging and thicker seat tubing. For 500 to 700 lb users, top speed is usually configured to be a little over 6 MPH.
The BIG BOUNDER with Power 1000 option is available if you need a BIG power chair that can carry up to a 1000 lb user! It includes Power 700 features plus extra frame/seat reinforcements and oversized 3/8" diameter fork pivot bolts. Required and included are 9"x3.50" caster wheels and the warranty is increased to cover up to 1,000 lb user. The conventional style frame also includes dual tandem rear wheels. Top speed is usually configured to be a little under 6 MPH.
21st Century Scientific, Inc.'s unique Seat Widened Over Rear Wheels options (SWOW and SWOW NARROW) can reduce the overall width of the chair conventional style frame by as much as 3" and 5", respectively. This may make the difference between using standard doorways or remodeling a home.
