The Solo bed was designed for residents who suffer from Alzheimer's and dementia. Residents can rest at the lowest height, while a touch of a button can raise the bed to a comfortable height for easily entering and exiting the bed, or transferring to a wheelchair. The bed is outfitted with an assist rail that provides the resident with comfort and security, and in the upright position it serves as a stable assist device, allowing easy entrance and exit from the bed. When not in use, the rail folds out of the way to give nursing staff unobstructed access to the resident.
