Arcadia Health Care Achieves ACHC Accreditation For Michigan Home Care Services
Company Becomes Sole Michigan Provider of ACHC-Accredited Private Duty Nursing and Aide Services
Southfield, MI /PRNewswire/ - Arcadia Health Care, a leading provider of home care services in Michigan, today announced that it has been awarded accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) for the private duty nursing and private duty aide services Arcadia provides across its 11 Michigan locations.
ACHC, a private, not-for-profit corporation certified to ISO 9001:2008 standards, was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve the quality of patient care. According to www.achc.org, Arcadia is the only organization in Michigan accredited in private duty skilled nursing and private duty aide services that provide personal care management and support to help elderly, chronically ill and catastrophically injured individuals continue to live in the comfort of their own homes.
"Arcadia has a long and successful track record of providing professional, dependable and compassionate care to our clients," said Cathy Sparling, Arcadia Health Care executive vice president. "At a time when Michigan's elderly and others seeking assistance with the activities of daily life face a growing array of home care options, Arcadia's ACHC accreditation is a clear differentiator that validates the high quality of our care. We are delighted to have our longstanding commitment to excellence recognized by this distinguished organization."
ACHC accreditation is a voluntary activity in which health care organizations submit to peer review of internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards. By attaining accreditation, Arcadia has demonstrated its commitment to maintain the highest level of competency and strive for excellence in its services and customer satisfaction.
In addition to Arcadia's ACHC accreditation in Michigan, other locations within the Company have been recognized for their commitment to quality through health care staffing certification from the Joint Commission and personal care support accreditation from CARF International, two nationally-recognized health care quality certification bodies.
