The BIG BOUNDER bariatric power wheelchair is manufactured in virtually any dimension. Its powerful Super Torque 2 motors and brakes can accommodate users up to 500 lbs. Super Torque 3 motors and brakes can be installed for increased performance (speed or hill climbing).
BIG BOUNDER drive trains can be configured for a wide range of top speeds. For users between 300 and 400 lbs, top speed is usually configured between 6.5 and 8 MPH. For users between 400 and 500 lbs, top speed is usually configured between 6 and 7 MPH. Control is fully proportional. Drive train ratios and program parameters can be adjusted in the field for slower top speeds.
The BIG BOUNDER with Power 700 Option is available for users between 500 and 700 lbs, or for lighter users who want a more rugged chair with increased performance (speed or hill climbing). This option includes Super Torque 3 motors and brakes as well as 9" x 2.75" metal front wheels and suspension forks. For 500 to 700 lb users, top speed is usually configured to be a little over 6 MPH.
The BIG BOUNDER with Power 1000 option is available if you need a BIG power chair that can carry up to a 1000 lb user! It includes Power 700 features as well as dual tandem rear wheels. Top speed is usually configured to be a little under 6 MPH.
21st Century Scientific, Inc.'s unique Seat Widened Over Rear Wheels options (SWOW and SWOW NARROW) can reduce the overall width of the chair by as much as 3" and 5", respectively. This may make the difference between using normal doorways or remodeling a home.
