'Big Bang’ inpatient and ambulatory activation is implemented for one of the nation’s largest non-profit health systems.

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) - CSI Healthcare IT announced today that it recently completed major initiatives with Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) in Omaha, Neb., (Alegent Creighton Health) and Tacoma, Wash., (Franciscan Health) to provide training, helpdesk and go-live support for the implementation of OneCare, which will provide a shared electronic, universal health record for CHI patients nationwide.

The projects involved as many as 350 CSI contractors on site at one time to provide training and direct clinical and administrative support for thousands of CHI staff during the OneCare go-live.

“We are proud to have completed another successful go-live, especially for an organization as large and prestigious as CHI,” said Zack Wilson, President of CSI Healthcare IT. “It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team of skilled consultants, our Professional Services Team and support staff as well as CHI employees who collectively teamed up to make this project a success.”

CSI Healthcare IT’s support included project management, project oversight and support in both ambulatory and inpatient suites as well as a “Big Bang” go-live initiative. Specialties within the hospitals and clinics include Obstetrics, Gynecology, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Infectious Disease, Psychiatry, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Pain Management, Gastro, Family Practice, Pulmonary, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery.

CHI and CSI formed their partnership at a time when the government-imposed mandate of meaningful-use represents major challenges to all health systems. As volume-based reimbursement programs give way to value-based care and reimbursement models focused on improving population health, new risk-bearing entities are aligning hospitals, physician practices and other care sites to manage defined populations.
