Bauerfeind Announces Product Enhancements And New Product Packaging

Atlanta (August 2000)…Bauerfeind USA, Inc., a leader in orthopedic support products, recently announced several product and packaging improvements.
"These product enhancements represent a new generation of professional orthopedic products," stated Linda Mulvihill, Marketing Manager.
Bauerfeind announced changes to seven of its most popular products:
GenuTrain – A softer fabric to enhance patient comfort and compliance.
MalleoTrain – A product redesign featuring a two-piece silicone insert, which allows for a better, more comfortable fit around the malleoli and in the patient's shoes.
LumboTrain – The addition of easy-to-use straps with a Velcro closure to aid patients in dressing more effortlessly.
ManuTrain – A redesign of the thumb area increasing comfort and allowing patients to continue with their typical day-to-day activities.
MalleoLoc – A slight modification of the lining material and width resulting in better shock absorption and patient comfort (winter 2000).
ViscoHeel N and ViscoHeel K – Available soon in clear silicone, rather than gray, for a more modern design (January 2001).

Bauerfeind also announced changes in product packaging and colors. "Our new, sporty packaging features an optional fold-out hang tab to make it easier for our customers to display and store the product," explained Mulvihill. "We have also simplified our sizing system and incorporated new product colors based on customer feedback and the latest color trend information."
